Meet Our Alumni Angels

One of the best parts of our jobs here at Angel of Hope, is hearing updates from our adopters! We love to hear how our little angels are doing in their new forever homes.

Our foster families love to hear updates, even more! They LOVE seeing new photos and videos and hearing new stories on their former foster furbabies.

If you adopted your pet from Angel of Hope, we would love to hear from you!

Luna

“Our understanding is that Luna had multiple previous homes (and names) and also spent time at the Animal Humane Society. Needless to say, a forever home is exactly what Luna was seeking.

Luna is a sweet & cuddly husky who absolutely loves life and MUST meet every dog in her sight. She's playful, yet loves to relax, and is a fan-favorite everywhere she goes.

In the summer, Luna spends every weekend boating on the St. Croix River where she enjoys sitting on the bow smiling at passing boaters as well as cooling off in the water. In the winter, in typical husky style, she's in and out all day, but has become fond of skijoring on our neighborhood pond.

We feel so fortunate to have become Luna's family and appreciate everything that Angel of Hope does to help animals find their forever homes.

Fans of Luna can find her on Instagram @LunaBearMSP and at local dog-friendly taprooms across the Twin Cities.”

Pookie

“She loves to play, chasing bugs, snack time, seeing what her sister is up to, exploring all of the nooks and crannies, and sleeping on her favorite rocking chair. I also adopted a very sweet female, Muffin, and the two are sister friends. They teach each other, bathe each other, get in trouble together, and keep the home full of love. Pookie has turned into the sweetest, most polite kitty; not unusual for her to tap me on the leg in the kitchen as if to say ‘excuse me, nice lady, could I has a snack?’ She is also the cleanest kitty I have ever seen; if she’s not napping, playing, or snacking, she is keeping her kitty self in pristine condition. Then works on Muffin’s hygiene. The sweetest is in the evenings, when she curls up on my lap or next to me in bed. As she grows further out of kittenhood, she is discovering the benefits of being a lap cat. My cute Pooks, life has been so much better with her in it. Thank you so very much for allowing me to adopt this sweet girl!! She has her forever home!"

Boris

“Boris is doing great!!! He is a total mama’s boy and loves being the center of attention on mom’s work zoom calls. His favorite things are blueberries, squeaky toys and being held like a baby. We knew he was special needs when we adopted him, and are happy to report that we found a specialist that deals with gastrointestinal issues and he is absolutely thriving. We can’t thank Lenore, Mark and Angel of Hope for bringing this little Angel into our lives.”⠀

Marvel

“Marvel came into our lives in April 2021 and completely changed it for the better. Marvel has CH but it doesn’t stop her from marveling us everyday. She has mastered the stairs and climbing EVERYTHING. She loves playing with her crinkle balls, watching birds from the window, and cuddling on the couch. Thank you Angel of Hope for bringing her to us!”

Mickey

“Our family has absolutely fallen in love with this kitten we adopted (Tom). Our daughter changed his name to Mickey. We feel as though he was put on this earth for our family to find! He loves to snuggle up and fall asleep, especially if he is close to your face. He will poke us with his nose, usually meaning he wants a kiss which he always receives. He purrs so loud, and we like to think that means he is just as happy with us as we are with him. We love to play with all kinds of different toys, but his favorite has to be his little mice (he brings one to our bed every night at bedtime). We cannot thank you enough for this blessing your rescue has given us!"⠀

Luna

“Reaching out in celebration of Luna's 1st Birthday! We are absolutely convinced that she's a 90-year-old Long Island woman who's still trying to figure out how she landed in suburbia, Minnesota. The hefty sigh when I bring up her birthday is par for the course, she's an absolute riot and there is not a day that goes by that she doesn't make us LOL. Sending lots'a Luna love your way!”

Alexie

"Alexie is doing amazing and has a completely clean bill of health now! She’s loving life here in Canada and has bonded well with her fur-siblings. She’s an amazing kitten, loving and full of spunk! We love having her in our family."

Pickles

“Pickles is wonderful cat. He is huge at nearly twenty three pounds, but is a very gentle soul. He settled in amazingly fast. I let my two existing cats smell him in the carrier with no hissing from anybody, and let him out after no more than five minutes. He plays with my eight year old cat who is a little guy at just eight pounds or so, and never uses his size to intimidate. I am so happy Angel of Hope invested the time and money to save Pickles after his terrible accident. I look forward to making him as happy as possible for the rest of his life.”

Rooney

“We just celebrated Rooney’s 11th birthday this past week! He got all dressed up & played all day, had treats, shared a birthday pie with his brother & took some adorable pictures.

He does have some issues with eyesight & has some cataracts now - which makes playing fetch very interesting when he can’t find the ball, he has to listen to my direction and we basically play the childhood game of “Hot & Cold” until he finds the ball lol. Other than that, he’s in great health! His heart murmur hasn’t changed & no signs of arthritis yet.

He’s been doing so great & he’s such a love bug!! I love my Roon Toon! I’m so happy to have him be apart of this family. He has perked up my other dog who lost his brother a year ago & that’s been beyond wonderful to see! I couldn’t imagine this home without him. He’s a blessing, I’m glad that his furever home is with me ! We love him!"

Rocky

“We are literally the luckiest cat moms in the world! Rocky has to be the best possible fit for our house we could have ever imagined. We never thought when we picked up 3 teeny tiny 4-day old kittens to foster and bottle feed that we would be foster fails, but we sure were! Rocky fit right in with our crazy lifestyle. He is the best brother to his fur siblings (cat and dog alike) and has been the most incredible big foster brother to the foster puppies we have had (I think Hattie was his favorite) and 7 human foster kiddos! He loves everyone he meets, has no idea what personal space is and never wants to be alone (and has no problem telling you this). Thankfully at our house he is never alone, and we love him dearly! The best part? His brothers, Colt & Tum Tum were adopted by a close friend and a family member, so we get updates on them too! Thank you AOH for letting us continue to help all of the rescue babies, but specifically for bringing this handsome man into our lives!”

- Ali & Ashley

Astrid

“We adopted Astrid (previously Nora) on December 23rd and now, at nearly 7 months, she is such a loved member of the family! Her big brother Einstein isn’t the biggest fan of her kitten energy, but we think he secretly loves her snuggles anyway. She’s our crazy little girl who, when she puts her mind to something, can’t be stopped! She’s a huge snuggler, and Olympic level blepper, and loves to bury herself under a blanket. Thank you so much for all that you guys do - we are SO lucky to have Astrid in our lives!”

- Lindsey

Skooma & Kahlua

“We adopted Skooma at two months old in November of 2019 and Kahlua at three months old in June of 2020. Since we got Kahlua, they have been the bestest of friends! They curl up together on the bed almost every night and bathe eachother. Skooma loves to flop over and ask for belly pets and Kahlua likes to chat a lot and show off her perfect mustache! We absolutely adore them.❤”

- Amy

Olaf

“Olaf is doing wonderful! His personality has really come out. He is such a silly boy and very talkative. He even tries to play with the dog and likes to boop him very gently on the nose. His favorite things are boxes, chin scratches, cat nip and wet food! He was quite the shy boy at the store but he definitely owns the house now.”

- Liz

Jimmy

“Omg, the giggles we get from him!b He faithfully wakes his human mommy up by backsliding over my face - and a good morning mommy kiss. He loves sleeping on his back. And he will watch for his human daddy to come home and he will put a stop to Mommy's pool landscaping when he needs Jimmy time. This little man has stolen our hearts.”

- Tairrie

Hobbes

"We lost our rescue cat of 14 years in January, and were nervous that we would never find a cat as great as Danni. Hobbes is different, but he fits our family, and we couldn’t be happier. He will go to his vet check this week. Hobbes was very nervous at first but has settled in quite nicely! He is playful and a snuggle bug! We are in love! Thank you!"

Seeger

“We got Seger back on December 13, 2021. We originally were just looking around on petfinder, but then we saw his face and couldn’t resist the cuteness! We were looking for a kitty with his markings (a tabby), that would be cuddly with us, and playful with Harlow, our yellow tabby. Once we got home, he fit in perfectly! It only took a couple days before he was cuddling with the dogs too! Seger LOVES food, and the spring toys. He comes running with the dogs when they hear the treat bag crinkle. 😂 I got him a bulk bag of 100 springs, and he couldn’t believe it when I opened the package! He can play hard, (he gets the zoomies every morning after breakfast), but can nap and snuggle just as hard! He loves listening to the birds now that its been warmer for us to crack open the windows. He’s 6 1/2 months old now, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! He is the perfect little guy for this house of chaos..”"

Chip

“Chip is an absolute joy. He’s a total cuddle bug and loves to be cozy. When he’s not resting on your chest, he’s stealing your spot. He’s living happily with his cat brother, George, and bulldog brother, Mack. Thank you so much for fostering Chip. We couldn’t imagine life without him."⠀

Peter

"On a trip to get pet food, our daughter went to look at cats. She called me over and said she wanted to see the cats. They let us back and she went straight to Peter's cage. She picked him up & he rolled over in her arms. He looked up at her and it was love at first sight. I could not ignore that.

Our daughter lost her younger years cat 3 years ago. She grieved her still and missed her so much. She missed that connection. Peter filled her broken heart. A month after we got him, my husband was diagnosed with throat cancer. Peter has been a great sense of comfort and joy during these months of tough treatment. He has brought laughter and joy. He fit right in with our other fur babies. He is very spoiled. We love him so much."

Panda

"I wanted to update you on Squishy, now named Panda. After a rough start, we cannot imagine our home without him! He is such a love! Always wants to be where we are and is so loving. We are still working on socializing him but we are very happy to have found him! And as much fun as I have working from home, he still prefers my son and runs to him when he gets home from school; which is so awesome! Thank you for everything you did!"
