Vet Tech Volunteers Needed!

Do you have Vet Tech experience and love helping pets? We are looking for volunteers to help our foster cats and dogs get ready for adoption! We handle over 1500 pets annually who all need exams, vaccines, and medications. Volunteer and help save lives!

Our Volunteer Techs Assist with the following:

• Assisting vet staff during exams and rechecks

• Basic first aid

• Assist with lab work, including fecals, blood work, UA

• Transport to offsite vet appointments when needed

• Administering and helping manage medications

• Entering medical records into our software

Vet Tech Volunteer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience handling animals, vet tech experience would be best

• Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare

• Passion for animals

• Excellent communication skills

• Able to work with animals of all sizes and temperaments; strong restraint skills
